A warm welcome to all of our readers and we hope that you have a safe and healthy 2022. We hope that the year brings an upturn in business and return to normal life.

In this issue we feature a mixture of renovations and award winning work plus art and cultural exhibitions, historic churches and transport.

The Wood awards 2021, show a vast array of stylish bespoke work, also featured is the discovery of medieval tannery at Fountain Abbey. Both highlight the highest level of craftmanship and design.
We feature the craftmanship of Storm windows highlighting Chelsea Hospital and All Saints Church in Kent. The excellent Steel Window work on town hall refurbishments, and the Financial Times building in London. Also the rooflighting work undertaken for Historic England in York. Whilst the National Trust extend their pioneering trial to protect precious collections.

Churches form a large part of our heritage and we feature a plea by Sir Michael Palin urging the safeguarding and future of our churches. St Sylvestors in Chivelstone new work by metal and glass is featured along with the news of 47 churches that received funding.

Transport is also featured with a stunning Victorian carriage that has been donated to the National Trust Museum, a boost for the home of Concorde, Hampshire Military Museum and the centenary of dry docking of the HMS Victory
