This popular conference, held in partnership with English Heritage, offers valuable information and insights to professionals who work in the conservation and heritage sector.
The event will feature a panel of speakers from diverse backgrounds, discussing the current issues affecting the construction industry and consequently the knock-on effects of conservation efforts on historic buildings. Prominent experts from the UK and Europe will share their insights and experiences regarding different types of historic buildings and the challenges they face in the current economic climate.
One of our speakers will be Laura Cotter CEng, Director and Process Improvement Specialist and Partnerships Manager at York Minster Fund (Consultant), who will be sharing the plans and progress for York Minster's Centre of Excellence in Heritage Craft Skills and Estate Management, which is set to open late 2024. The Centre of Excellence is a first-of-its-kind project and is crucial for helping to secure the environmental, financial, and heritage sustainability of York Minster for many years to come.
This informative day will include a panel discussion, where attendees can explore some of the current challenges in the industry and gain insights from relevant case studies. Among the topics up for discussion are the challenges of skills shortages, diversity and sustainability in the sector. This conference promises to be thought-provoking, offering valuable CPD for anyone associated with the heritage sector. We look forward to welcoming you.
