The Auckland Project has launched the UK’s first gallery dedicated to Mining Art.

As part of the revitalisation of Bishop Auckland in County Durham, centred around the historic Auckland Castle, The Auckland Project has launched the UK’s first gallery dedicated to Mining Art. The Mining Art Gallery explores the development of Mining Art as a form of self-expression and highlights its unique place within British art history.
