22 Bedford Square

Bedford Square, located in London’s Bloomsbury Conservation area, is one of London’s most beautiful and best-preserved historic squares. The square was originally laid out and constructed between 1775 and 1780 to provide fashionable townhouses around a central garden, on land owned by the Duke of Bedford. The symmetry, uniformity and proportion of the buildings – forming a perfect geometrical square – are characteristic of Georgian architecture and town planning and these are listed on the English Heritage Register.
