Description

Ovolo Building Consultancy is a firm of Chartered Building Surveyors providing specialist advice on heritage, historic, commercial and residential buildings most of England.

We undertake heritage building surveys, defect investigations and building pathology assessments. Our surveyors investigate deterioration associated with moisture, traditional construction, structural movement, roofing defects, timber decay, inappropriate modern materials and previous alterations.

As qualified commercial drone operators, we provide high-resolution aerial surveys of roofs, towers, chimneys, façades, rainwater goods and other difficult-to-access areas. We can also create a 3D model of the building using point clouds for measurement and comparison.

Drone surveys can be used for project development recordingand alsoprovide a comprehensive photographic record to support maintenance planning, repair specifications and insurance claims.

Additionally, using our advanced internal 3D scanning system, we produce highly accurate digital twins for internal areas of buildings. This internal photogrammetry service captures the property exactly as it stands in crisp, measurable detail and makes it accessible through our secure online portal. This can be viewed as a walkthrough with annotation of any points of interest added as viewable notes.

We also provide architectural and technical design services for alteration, refurbishment, conservation and repair projects.

In the event of fire, flood, escapeof water, storm and other insured damage, we can investigate the cause and extent of damage, prepare reinstatement designs and specifications, obtain competitive tenders and administer the works through to completion.

Our services include principal designer duties,preparation of schedules of work, tendering,contract administration, site inspections and project management. We combine modern surveying technology with a practical understanding of traditional materials, construction techniques and sensitive building repair.
