Description

Frank Holmes has over 30 years’ experience in painting and decorating, and incorporates heritage skills into his business such as gilding and faux finishes. Frank installs high end wallpapers and is an Approved Lincrusta Installer and Restorer. He specialises in repairs and restoration of heritage raised relief wallpapers, dado panels, friezes and ceiling tiles including pre-war Lincrusta, Anaglypta, Tynecastle Tapestry, Salamander, Lignomur and other similar heritage wall coverings and imitation embossed leather wallpapers dating from c.1870. Using the specially developed Lincrusta restoration kit we can take a mould and replicate discontinued patterns in repeats of up to 1 metre square for making repairs.

Amanda Holmes manages the office and our own growing archive. We can often identify heritage designs from photos and supply the original trade catalogue image. We can reproduce other heritage designs such as dado panels and decorative door panels from our archive collection for special projects to reinstate period Victorian and Edwardian features.

Based near Lancaster, Frank Holmes Fine Décor is perfectly placed to work across northwest England and occasionally beyond. Projects include private residential, public buildings and commercial properties with experience of working alongside Architects, Interior Designers, property developers and contractors.
