The British Antique Furniture Restorers’ Association is a nationwide organisation of skilled people engaged in furniture conservation, furniture repair and furniture restoration. We seek to act as a bridge between qualified conservators and restorers and those whose love of antique furniture requires the highest standards of conservation and restoration.

BAFRA members are all antique furniture restorers with in-depth knowledge of antiques. As such our members are able to repair, refinish and restore many different types of antique furniture including the restoration of period furniture, marquetry and parquetry, lock and key restoration, traditional upholstery restoration, gilding and many other services related to antique furniture.
Every BAFRA member is an expert in their field and is actively involved in Continual Professional Development (CPD) to keep abreast of advances in knowledge, skills and technical developments.
Every one of our members are required to have a minimum of 5 years' professional experience, although the average is well over 20 years' experience.
