Description

The Steel Window Association (SWA) is a trade organisation which represents various UK steel window and door manufacturers, ranging in size from the smallest of craft-based companies through to large companies. There is not a steel window or door project of any description, anywhere in the UK, that one of the SWA members cannot manage.

SWA members can provide homeowners, specifiers, architects and custodians with a variety of services for both domestic and commercial projects, which includes manufacturing a selection of bespoke internal or external steel doors and screens, and the renovation of windows in period properties. With a wide range of specialisms, the member companies can provide pricing, design details and help with specification criteria.  There is also a wide range of ironmongery options available from a specialist member and includes different colours, finishes and styles.

The association can provide specifiers with a guide and a number of useful fact sheets to help make the specification journey as easy as possible. These are available to download on the SWA website.

With steel windows and doors being more popular than ever for both commercial and residential buildings, the SWA ensures its members benefit from the latest testing and product development to keep them at the forefront of the industry.

Steel window and doors characteristic strength provides a robust durability to survive not only hard weather but also changing fashion; they outlive trends and have become a concept which lasts; all in addition to the barrier they can offer for security.

The Steel Window Association is a member of the Glass & Glazing Federation, British Fenestration Rating Council, Construction Products Association and FENSA.
