As with any major project, there is always a requirement to bring in specialist expertise and skills, and in this instance the mechanical and electrical installation elements of the prestigious and world-class Windermere Jetty Museum of Boats, Steam and Stories project were undertaken by Quartzelec, a leading independent engineering service provider which itself has a long, prestigious and illustrious heritage.
Quartzelec’s contracting business secured the £1.4m M&E elements of this heritage project and one of its initial tasks in working alongside the main contractor Thomas Armstrong (Construction) Ltd was to develop and present the client with significant M&E engineering savings to help ensure the project was affordable.
